2009: If You’re Feeling Jolly

So I found what I originally wrote about this mix on my old, non-holiday website, Sixtywatt.

From 12/7/2009

It’s that time of year. The time of year when I make my Christmas mix… well… it’s about a week into the time of year that I try to have it done. This year’s mix was a challenge, with a distinct lack of new material in comparison to previous years. I even had to dip into the pile of songs that I considered a bit too indie-ubiquitous (Badly Drawn Boy’s “Donna & Blitzen” and no doubt the Julian Casablancas track), but I still feel as though it works well. I present to you the #1 British nu-folk, indiepop, folktronic, alt.country, indie rock and garage band Christmas mix with a Belle & Sebastian parody cover (the more specific I get, the better chance I have of being #1 in that category), “If You’re Feeling Jolly.”

I will be uploading the mix to imeem at some point, but for those who would like to get a copy (and haven’t gotten an e-mail/facebook from me already), perhaps you can trade me your own Christmas mix 🙂
